Based on the anatomical shape of the lower leg, the 6Y512 Anatomic 3D PUR Liner, ushers in a new generation of off the shelf polyurethane liners.

Many prosthesis wearers suffer from painful pressure points. This is why protection plays a major role in the evaluation of a prosthetic socket. Now Otto Bock has found an outstanding solution with the new 6Y512 Anatomic 3D PUR liner. It has been on the market since January of this year.
The highlight of the new liner is that it is based on the anatomy of the lower leg. Thanks to innovative ASG (anatomy-specific geometry) technology, the liner sets new protection standards. The polyurethane material ensures optimum pressure distribution and durability. A non-sticky exterior coating makes the liner quick and easy to put on. The liner is soft on the inside and yet highly adhesive. A special structure distributes moisture in the liner during use so it literally disappears in the texture. Daily cleaning of the Anatomic 3D PUR liner is straightforward and fast.
Anatomy-specific geometry (ASG)
The liner features various wall thicknesses. In sensitive areas such as the head of the calf bone, shin, residual limb end and around the patella, the material is thicker for additional protection. In other areas, for example over the patella, it is thinner in order to increase flexibility and freedom of movement.

Enhanced knee flexion
The liner is pre-flexed which makes knee flexion easier. Since there is no excess material to create wrinkles in the hollow of the knee, uncomfortable pressure points are avoided.
The Anatomic 3D PUR liner comes in two different versions. In addition to the proven classic version, the liner is also available with an integrated textile component. The overhang of the textile component can be used to provide additional protection for the sealing sleeve. However, the textile overhang can simply be cut off if required.
Otto Bock recommends the Anatomic 3D PUR liner for users with low to especially high mobility grades. It is ideal for use with an exhaust valve or the Harmony® system and a sealing sleeve.
